Bharathiraja was born as a chinnasamy in 17 july in 1947 in theni tamilnadu, india. He is critically accalaimed south indian flim maker. He displayed a story teller's potential in a early age. Bharathiraja known for his realysitich and sensitive portraiylor of village life in his movies. His mother Karthamma received a National Award from the president on his behalf for his flim named after her.
